Marissa is a recent graduate of the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University.  While at the ETC Marissa worked as an artist and fabricator for two different installation projects.  She also interned at PBS and Challenger Center.  Most recently Marissa produced a project focused on incorporating technology in maker-centered education while still supporting open-ended outcomes.

At the University of Louisville, Marissa studied Biology and minored in Studio Art. Following graduation, she worked for two years in the Visitor Experience Department at the Kentucky Science Center. While working in the Science Center, Marissa constructed cardboard exhibits for early childhood guests and presented hands-on activities on a variety of science subjects for audiences of all ages.

Ultimately, Marissa hopes to help create digital resources to make educational opportunities more accessible.
